Methyl 3-(methylamino)-2-butenoate has a chloride ion that is associated with the frequency of the molecule. This frequency is in the range of 10 to 10 Hz. The hydrogen bond between the methyl group and the amine group is a vibrational mode at about 2,000 cm-1. The Raman spectrum for this compound displays peaks at 600 cm-1, 760 cm-1 and 860 cm-1. The expansion of this molecule occurs when it is heated from -20 °C to 25 °C, which is due to an increase in kinetic energy. Methyl 3-(methylamino)-2-butenoate has a nature that is reproducible and also has parameters that are kinetically determined.
