Diethatyl ethyl is a chemical compound used as a pesticide. It is a white powder that dissolves in water to form an acidic solution. Diethatyl ethyl inhibits the growth of bacteria by destroying their cell membranes, which causes them to rupture and die. This product has been shown to inhibit the growth of cells in chronic kidney disease patients and stem cells, but it is not active against cancer cells. Diethatyl ethyl is also used in food chemistry as an amide or sodium hydroxide solution to make polymers for use in particle technology techniques.
