Informazioni sul prodotto
- 4-Ethyl-2-Hydroxy-Pyrimidine-5-Carboxylic Acid
- 5-Pyrimidinecarboxylicacid, 2-Chloro-4-Methyl-
2-Chloro-4-methylpyrimidine-5-carboxylic acid (2CMP) is a trifluoromethylated analog of pyrimidines that has been studied as a potential chemotherapeutic agent. 2CMP has been shown to inhibit the growth of colon cancer cells in vitro and to induce apoptosis through activation of ap-1 transcription and inhibition of NFκB. 2CMP also inhibits the growth of intestinal cells by binding to the DNA gyrase enzyme, which prevents DNA replication. Oral bioavailability studies have shown that this drug can be absorbed into the bloodstream and transported to other parts of the body.
