Informazioni sul prodotto
2,6-Bis(di-tert-butylphosphinomethyl)pyridine is a reactive intermediate in the dehydrogenative coupling of terminal alkynes to form 1,3-dienes. It has been shown to react with chlorides and yield chloride as a major product. 2,6-Bis(di-tert-butylphosphinomethyl)pyridine reacts via an S N 2 mechanism with chloride ions to produce a mixture of products that includes chloroform. This compound can also be used in hydrosilylation reactions that are used for the synthesis of silicone polymers. The mechanistic studies on this compound have been done using quantum theory and the bond cleavage reaction mechanism has been proposed based on functional theory.
