3',5'-O-(1,1,3,3-Tetraisopropyl-1,3-disiloxanediyl)cytidine is a cytosine analog that is able to form stable complexes with the myocardial infarct cavity. It has potent antitumor activity and may be useful for the treatment of cancer. 3',5'-O-(1,1,3,3-Tetraisopropyl-1,3-disiloxanediyl)cytidine has been shown to inhibit cell division and induce apoptosis in cultured cells. This drug also blocks the activation of GTPase activating protein (GAP), which is necessary for the transport of GDP to GTP. The binding of 3',5'-O-(1,1,3,3-Tetraisopropyl-1,3-disiloxanediyl)cytidine to DNA inhibits transcription and replication
