Neohesperidin dihydrochalcone hydrate is a p-hydroxybenzoic acid derivative. It is a dihydrochalcone that has synchronous fluorescence and can be used as a control for analytical methods. It also has the ability to inhibit the activity of several enzymes, such as 4-hydroxynitrocinnamic acid, xanthine oxidase, and cytochrome P450 reductase.
