Fast Red 3 GL salt is a fluorescent dye that can be used for labeling DNA and RNA. It is soluble in water and has been shown to activate elongated nucleotides. Fast Red 3 GL salt is a hydrazide-based reagent that can be used for the detection of labeled nucleotides in immunocytochemistry, cytogenetics, and DNA sequencing. Fast Red 3 GL salt is also referenced in many scientific journals as an activatable label.
