N''-Cyclohexylguanidine is an inorganic compound, which has been used to treat pancreatic cancer. This drug is believed to inhibit the activity of serine proteases, which are enzymes that break down proteins into amino acids. N''-Cyclohexylguanidine has shown a positive correlation with plasma glucose levels and a negative correlation with extracellular calcium ion levels. N''-Cyclohexylguanidine also inhibits ATP sensitive potassium channels, which are important for insulin secretion from beta cells and for maintaining blood glucose levels.
