(2R,5R)-2,5-Dimethylpyrrolidine hydrochloride is a racemic mixture of the two enantiomers 2,5-dimethylpyrrolidine. It is an organic compound that is used in organic synthesis as a chiral reagent. This racemate is recrystallized from diethyl ether and ethanol to give the pure (2S) enantiomer. The salt form of this compound is the hydrochloride salt. The crystals are white and have a melting point of 136 degrees Celsius.
