2,2',7,7'-Tetrakis(diphenylamino)-9,9'-spirobi[9H-fluorene] is a low molecular weight material that has been used as a hole transporting material in organic solar cells. The molecule can be stabilized by annealing at temperatures below 200°C. This compound also shows unipolar optical absorption and optical band gap of 2.8 eV at room temperature. It has been shown to transport electrons with high efficiency and stability and can be used in transistor devices for high-speed applications.
