Descrizione:Protein A/G is a recombinant protein that is used to purify immunoglobulins and other proteins. It has been shown to inhibit binding of IgE to mast cells, which may be due to its ability to bind to the Fc receptor on the surface of these cells. Protein A/G has also been shown to bind with high affinity and specificity to the Fc receptor on human platelets, which may be due to its ability to activate phospholipase C-γ (PLC-γ) in these cells. This activation leads to an increase in intracellular calcium concentrations and subsequent activation of protein kinase C (PKC).
