Informazioni sul prodotto
Furosemide is a thiazide-like diuretic that blocks sodium reabsorption in the renal tubules and increases the amount of urine produced. Furosemide is used to treat fluid retention (edema) associated with congestive heart failure, liver cirrhosis, or kidney disease. Furosemide-d5 is a radioactive isotope of furosemide that can be used for imaging techniques such as positron emission tomography (PET). It has been shown to have high specificity and sensitivity for human urine samples when profiling sodium taurocholate cotransporting proteins in humans. Validation of this technique was performed by measuring plasma concentrations of taurocholate in both animals and humans.
