4-Methyl-6,7-methylenedioxycoumarin is a reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC) reagent for the separation of carboxylic acids. This product is a fluorescent dye that can be used to identify and quantify carboxylic acids. 4-Methyl-6,7-methylenedioxycoumarin is used to separate fatty acids and aliphatic carboxylic acids, which are important components in the manufacture of soaps and other detergents. The product can also be used as a reagent for the determination of fluorescence in organic solvents, such as acetic acid or citric acid.
