Informazioni sul prodotto
- 1,10-Phenanthroline, 5-bromo-
5-Bromo-1,10-phenanthroline (BP) is a ferrocenecarboxylic acid derivative that has been synthesized to study the interaction between BP and human nasopharyngeal carcinoma. The compound contains two phenyl groups, which are responsible for its strong absorption in the visible region of the spectrum. BP has been shown to induce the loss of cell membrane integrity and morphology changes in human nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells when incubated with acetonitrile. This is due to BP's interaction with cellular proteins. BP also inhibits protein synthesis in these cells by binding to ribosomes and inhibiting peptide bond formation.
