Informazioni sul prodotto
Interferon receptor inducer-1 (IRI-1) is a regulatory protein that has been shown to be important in the prevention of hepatitis C virus replication. IRI-1 binds to the interferon regulatory factor 1 (IRF-1) and inhibits the activation of the transcription factor NF-κB. This prevents viral replication and promotes apoptosis. It also inhibits the expression of genes involved in inflammation, including TNFα, IL6, IL8, and COX2. IRI-1 is also thought to play a role in cardiac fibrosis and cirrhosis by inhibiting growth factors such as TGFβ. The biological function of IRI-1 has been demonstrated through studies in vivo using a mouse model.
