Ammonium hexachlorostannate is a diamagnetic, inorganic compound with the chemical formula (NH)AsCl. It is a colorless solid that is insoluble in water but soluble in organic solvents. It can be prepared by electrolysis of an ammonium salt solution containing chloride ions at a high voltage. The material has been used as a catalyst for the production of polylactic acid, which is biodegradable and recyclable. Ammonium hexachlorostannate has also been studied as an electrocatalyst for fuel cells, where it was found to have excellent performance when compared to platinum due to its lower cost and higher resistance to corrosion.
A potent antibacterial drug that belongs to the class of rifamycins. Rifapentine inhibits bacterial growth by binding to DNA-dependent RNA polymerase, thereby preventing transcription and replication. The high frequency of human activity has been shown using a patch-clamp technique
