Methyl 1-benzofuran-4-carboxylate is an organic compound that belongs to the alicyclic, endocyclic, and heterocyclic category. It has a vinyl group and a heterocycle with 4 rings. Methyl 1-benzofuran-4-carboxylate is synthesized by the equilibration of 2 equivalents of dienes with dimethyl acetylenedicarboxylate.
