N-(4-(2-(2,3-Dihydrobenzo(B)furan-7-carboxamido)ethyl)benzenesulfonyl)-N'-cyclohexylurea is a potent and selective inhibitor of the voltage-gated potassium channel Kv1.3 with IC50 of 1.9 nM. N-(4-(2-(2,3-Dihydrobenzo(B)furan-7-carboxamido)ethyl)benzenesulfonyl)-N'-cyclohexylurea binds to the S2 domain of Kv1.3 and inhibits its function. This compound has been shown to inhibit the neuronal response in cultured hippocampal neurons in a dose dependent manner.
