Informazioni sul prodotto
1-(2-Cyclopropylamino-4-methyl-thiazol-5-yl)-ethanone is a novel optical sensor that has been used to measure the rate of protein synthesis. It can be used to monitor the activity of cardiac cells and has shown to have antiarrhythmic effects in heart cells exposed to high levels of potassium chloride. 1-(2-Cyclopropylamino-4-methyl-thiazol-5-yl)-ethanone is an ester hydrochloride, which means it can be hydrolyzed by esterases in blood serum. The optical sensor is sensitive to benzalkonium chloride, a common preservative found in many biological samples such as human serum and cell culture media. This sensor may be useful for determining the presence of cancer cells or for measuring the activity of Cox 2 enzymes that are known to play an important role in inflammation and tumorigenesis.
