Descrizione:
(1R,2S)-1-(Naphthalen-1-yl)-2-(naphthalen-2-yl)ethane-1,2-diamine is a terminal oxidant that can be used as an organocatalyst, which is a chemical catalyst in organic synthesis. It has been shown to be effective in the oxidation of benzyl alcohols and benzyl compounds. The (1R,2S) enantiomer has a high activity and is more selective than the (1S,2R) enantiomer. This compound can also catalyze the cycloaliphatic oxidation of alcohols. The kinetic data for this reaction is not known.
