2-Acetylamino-5-bromo-6-methylpyridine (2AB5BM) is a molecule that has been investigated for its anticancer activity. It has shown to have an important red shift in the spectrum of its fluorescence, which is attributed to the presence of a pyridine ring. The molecule was predicted to be stable in both conformations and it had no observed interactions with other molecules (i.e., 2AB5BM did not react with water). This molecule has been shown to have anticancer activity in vitro and in vivo.
