Informazioni sul prodotto
- Benzoic acid, 4-[(ethylamino)carbonyl]-
- 4-[(Ethylamino)carbonyl]benzoic acid
The ethylcarbamoylbenzoic acid (ECBA) is a ruthenium complex that has been shown to be effective against tenella, an aerobic bacterium. ECBA inhibits the mitochondrial cytochrome b enzyme and blocks the oxidative phosphorylation pathway, which is an important process in aerobic glycolysis. This inhibition leads to cellular death through necrosis or apoptosis. In tissue cultures, ECBA was more effective at inhibiting cancer cells than cisplatin, another type of ruthenium complex.
