Informazioni sul prodotto
Dichlorophenylindole (DPZ) is a drug that blocks the production of the enzyme glutathione-S-transferase, which is responsible for the detoxification of xenobiotics and reactive oxygen species. DPZ also interacts with other enzymes such as gsh-px activities and matrix effect, these interactions lead to an increase in the synchronous fluorescence signal. DPZ has been shown to have an anti-inflammatory effect by decreasing levels of IL-10 and neuronal death. This drug has also been shown to improve cognitive function in experimental models by increasing levels of acetylcholine in the brain. However, it can be toxic at high doses, so toxicity studies have been done on animals. The results show that DPZ is safe for use up to 10 mg/kg for 14 days in rats and mice.
