Informazioni sul prodotto
- 2,4-Dibromo-1-iodobenzene
- Benzene, 2,4-dibromo-1-iodo-
2,4-Dibromoiodobenzene is a monomer that is used for the production of polycarbonates and other polymer resins. It is synthesized by the reaction of styrene with bromine in the presence of phosphine. The chemical structure of 2,4-dibromoiodobenzene contains two benzene rings linked by a single bond, which are attached to an iodine atom at each end. This compound has been shown to catalyze reactions involving intramolecular processes such as cyclization and polymerization. Crystal X-ray diffraction studies have shown that this compound has a five-membered ring when bound to rhodium metal ions.
