Informazioni sul prodotto
- thiourea, N,N'-bis[3-(triethoxysilyl)propyl]-
Bis[3-(triethoxysilyl)propyl]thiourea (BETST) is a ligand that enhances the removal of chloride ions from wastewater. It is used as a chelating agent to remove trace levels of metal ions from water and other fluids. BETST is produced by treating thiourea with ethylene oxide, which forms the bis-chloride. This compound can bind to chlorides in aqueous solutions, forming an insoluble complex. The organic solvents are then removed by distillation, leaving a solid residue that can be regenerated when needed.
