Informazioni sul prodotto
2-Iodo-N-isopropyl-5-methoxybenzamide is a reactive, pentavalent, aliphatic, carbonyl compound. It is a hypervalent reagent that provides a new method for the synthesis of benzylic alcohols. 2-Iodo-N-isopropyl-5-methoxybenzamide can be used as catalysts in catalytic oxidations and reductions of aliphatic and aromatic compounds. This chemical is also used as a catalyst in the oxidation of benzene to produce phenols or benzoic acid. Oxone is an example of such a reaction. The 2-iodo derivative has been shown to be more stable than other derivatives under basic conditions, but it does not react with water.
