Informazioni sul prodotto
- 2-Iodomethyloxetane
2-(Iodomethyl)oxetane is a carboxylic acid that can be synthesized in two steps from 2-iodoethanol. It is a useful reagent for the synthesis of unsaturated compounds, such as carboxylic acids, isoxazolines, and ethers. This compound can also be used as a starting material for the synthesis of other compounds with unsaturated bonds. 2-(Iodomethyl)oxetane reacts with nucleophiles to form oxetanes by way of intramolecular reactions. This reaction occurs at room temperature and does not require any catalysts or solvents. The reaction product is a mixture of diastereomers that can be separated by crystallization or chromatography.
