Tris(4-methoxy-3,5-dimethylphenyl)phosphine is a phosphorus compound that is used in organometallic chemistry. It has been used to synthesize alkenes, phenyl rings, and methoxyphenyl rings. Tris(4-methoxy-3,5-dimethylphenyl)phosphine can be prepared by the reaction of crotonates with electron donating reagents such as methyl groups or carbonates. Tris(4-methoxy-3,5-dimethylphenyl)phosphine has also been shown to be effective in the synthesis of benzyl esters and methoxy groups.
