ZM 39923 HCl is a small molecule that has been shown to inhibit the Wnt/β-catenin pathway, which regulates cell growth and differentiation. ZM 39923 HCl binds to the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) in the cell membrane, preventing it from activating the EGFR. This inhibition of EGFR activation prevents the proliferation of cells by blocking the interaction of β-catenin with its downstream targets, such as cyclin D1 and c-myc. The compound also inhibits PD-L1 expression in activated T cells, which may be an effective treatment for cancer.
