Informazioni sul prodotto
4-Chloropteridine is a pteridine that is synthesized from the naturally occurring compound alloxazine. It has been shown to have electron sources for use in prosthetic groups, as well as being used as a vitamin and an acidic reagent in preparative organic chemistry. 4-Chloropteridine has also been used to produce other pteridines and their analogues through the condensation reaction of two or more molecules of 4-chloropteridine with various other compounds. In biological function, 4-chloropteridine is a precursor of pteroylglutamic acid, which is an essential cofactor for many proteins in metabolism.
