Informazioni sul prodotto
Epilincomycin is a natural antibiotic that belongs to the class of macrocyclic lactones. It is extracted from a bacteria found in soil samples from the Tibetan Plateau. Epilincomycin has a broad spectrum of activity against microorganisms and viruses, including Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, as well as fungi and viruses. The drug inhibits protein synthesis by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit of bacteria and inhibiting peptidyl transferase. Epilincomycin also has antiviral activity against HIV-1 as well as other DNA and RNA viruses. This agent is relatively stable in water, making it suitable for use in topical creams or ointments.
