Isolonchocarpin is a potent cytotoxic flavonoid present in the genus Tephrosia. It is an active compound that has been shown to have strong antioxidant properties and, as such, may be used to treat inflammatory conditions. Isolonchocarpin has been found to inhibit the growth of bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
