DPP IV Inhibitor, NVP DPP 728 is a small molecule with a molecular weight of 473.6 g/mol that has the biological function of inhibiting the enzyme dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4). It is a cavity-forming agent with a fatty acid moiety and an amine group. It binds to the active site of DPP-4, which is located in the lumenal side of the cell membrane, and inhibits its action by binding to its catalytic site.
