Norbaeocystin is a natural product and secondary metabolite that belongs to the group of phytochemicals. It is a primary metabolite of the fungus Nothofagus cunninghamii and has been isolated from this organism. It is considered to be bioactive, as it exhibits cytotoxic activity against cancer cells in vitro. The purity of this compound is high, with an HPLC purity level at 98%.
