ORIC-101 is a synthetic glucocorticoid that binds to nuclear receptors and has the same effects as endogenous cortisol hormone. The glucocorticoid receptor (GR) is activated by ORIC-101, which induces the transcription of genes involved in physiological processes such as inflammation and immunity. The expression levels of GRs are regulated by other protein factors, such as coactivators and corepressors.
