Informazioni sul prodotto
3-(acetylamino)-2-hydroxybenzoic acid is a human colonic metabolite of 5-aminosalicylic acid (5-ASA). It is produced by the oxidation of salicylic acid and found to be present in human colonic mucosa. 3-(acetylamino)-2-hydroxybenzoic acid has been shown to enhance electron transport, which may be due to its ability to inhibit carcinogenic effects of adenine. The compound also inhibits the activity of human enzymes such as bile acids, adenine methyltransferase, and phosphatases. This inhibition occurs at high concentrations and may result in cancer. The mechanism of action for this inhibition is not well understood but may be related to modifications on DNA or protein structure.
