CAS:<p>(24R)-Calcipotriene is a synthetic analog of calcitriol, the active form of vitamin D3. It is a proapoptotic agent that inhibits tumor growth by causing mitochondrial membrane potential collapse in cancer cells. (24R)-Calcipotriene has been shown to inhibit tumor growth in animals and human cells in vitro. This drug also potentiates the effects of other anticancer drugs such as doxorubicin and etoposide.
