Applications Sodium dichloroacetate-13C2 is a labelled analogue of sodium dichloroacetate. Sodium dichloroacetate is a potential antidote for lactic acidosis and also has potential for treating patients with stroke. Since sodium dichloroacetate also might have mutagenic properties, it is still currently under investigation to determine whether or not its use is safe in humans.
