Iganidipina é um bloqueador de canais de cálcio utilizado principalmente no tratamento da hipertensão e da angina de peito. Pertence à classe de antagonistas do cálcio dihidropiridínicos, que atuam inibindo a entrada de íons de cálcio através dos canais de cálcio tipo L no músculo liso vascular e no tecido cardíaco. Essa ação leva à vasodilatação, reduzindo a resistência periférica e diminuindo a pressão arterial. Iganidipina é caracterizado por sua capacidade de direcionar seletivamente os tecidos vasculares, minimizando os efeitos sobre a contratilidade cardíaca. Iganidipine is a drug that is used to treat high blood pressure. It lowers the blood pressure by blocking calcium channels in the cell membrane of vascular smooth muscle cells, preventing them from contracting and relaxing.
