Descrição:
Óxido de samário (Sm2O3) é um óxido de metal raro caracterizado por sua alta estabilidade e propriedades ópticas e eletrônicas únicas. Aparece como um pó branco a amarelado e é insolúvel em água, mas solúvel em ácidos. O óxido de samário exibe uma estrutura cristalina cúbica e é conhecido por seu alto ponto de fusão, tornando-o adequado para aplicações em alta temperatura. É utilizado principalmente na produção de ímãs de samário-cobalto, fósforos para tubos de televisão colorida e como catalisador em várias reações químicas.
