CAS:
Folic acid is a vitamin that is required for the production of red blood cells. It is also used to treat folate deficiency, which can lead to megaloblastic anemia, and to prevent neural tube defects in developing infants. Folic acid-13C5 is used as a marker for folic acid metabolism in studies assessing the association between maternal folate status and adverse pregnancy outcomes such as preterm birth and low birth weight. This marker has also been used in studies of the effect of periconceptional folic acid supplementation on the risk of congenital heart defects.
Fórmula:C19H19N7O6Pureza:Min. 95%Peso molecular:446.36 g/mol
