2-Amino-1H-indole-3-carbonitrile is a nucleoside analog used as a precursor for the synthesis of other biologically active compounds. 2-Amino-1H-indole-3-carbonitrile has been shown to be capable of forming hydrogen bonds with nucleic acid bases, which can lead to changes in conformation and chain length.
