Atorvastatina cálcica é um composto farmacêutico utilizado principalmente como agente redutor de lipídios para gerenciar a hiperlipidemia e reduzir o risco de doenças cardiovasculares. Pertence à classe de medicamentos conhecidos como estatinas, que funcionam inibindo a enzima HMG-CoA redutase, um jogador chave na biossíntese de colesterol no fígado.
