1-(2,3-Dihidroxipropil)-3,7-diidro-3,7-dimetil-1H-purina-2,6-diona, comumente conhecido como teobromina, é um composto de metilxantina com propriedades farmacológicas notáveis. É um pó cristalino branco a off-white que é solúvel em água e apresenta um sabor ligeiramente amargo. A substância é encontrada principalmente em grãos de cacau e é um componente chave do chocolate.
