TC LPA5 4 is a drug that inhibits the catalytic subunit of protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A), which is involved in the control of cell proliferation. TC LPA5 4 has been shown to inhibit cancer cell growth and to induce apoptosis. This drug also inhibits tumor angiogenesis, which may be due to its ability to suppress the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF-A). TC LPA5 4 has been shown to be effective at inhibiting the growth of human fibrosarcoma cells, but not normal cells. TC LPA5 4 can be used as an additive for mammalian cell culture media.
