Descrição:
Almotriptano malato é um composto farmacêutico utilizado principalmente no tratamento de enxaquecas. Pertence à classe de medicamentos triptanos, que são especificamente projetados para aliviar os sintomas da enxaqueca agindo como agonistas nos receptores de serotonina, particularmente nos subtipos 5-HT_1B e 5-HT_1D. Essa ação leva à vasoconstrição dos vasos sanguíneos cranianos e à inibição da liberação de neuropeptídeos pró-inflamatórios.
