Descrição:
Clobazam é um derivado de benzodiazepina usado principalmente como medicamento anticonvulsivante e ansiolítico. It has been shown to have a low incidence of side effects and to be well tolerated by patients in clinical trials. Clobazam is also effective against acute and chronic pain and can be used as an adjunctive therapy for the treatment of generalized anxiety disorder. This drug has been shown to bind to the α1 subunit of the GABA receptor, which may contribute to its therapeutic effect. Clobazam is metabolized by human cytochrome P450 3A4 (CYP3A4), which can lead to drug interactions if it interacts with other drugs that are metabolized by this enzyme.
