BSH-IN-1 is a peptide inhibitor of HCN channels. It blocks the flow of ions through the channel by binding to the extracellular domain of the HCN channel, blocking access to the pore region. This inhibition prevents action potentials from passing through and thus preventing the transmission of nerve impulses. BSH-IN-1 has been shown to be highly pure, with a purity level above 98%.
