CAS:<p>Cis-4-Hydroxy-D-proline is a metabolite of the amino acid proline. It has been shown to have beneficial effects on heart function in vitro and in vivo, as well as on collagen synthesis. Cis-4-Hydroxy-D-proline was also shown to inhibit herpes simplex virus replication and to induce apoptosis in hepatocyte-like cells. The affinity constants for cis-4-Hydroxy-D-proline were determined by ph assays, kinetic data, and structural analysis.
