Etoricoxib N-Oxide also inhibits the production of prostaglandins, which are substances that cause pain and inflammation. NSAIDs like etoricoxib N-Oxide inhibit the activity of cyclooxygenase (COX), an enzyme that converts arachidonic acid into prostaglandins.
